WINTER INTERSCHOOL SPORTS

The Winter season of inter school sports has began. This week we played Beverly Hills at home and everyone played a great game. This year I am coaching the netball. All of the netballers showed great team spirit and played in such a positive manner. Unfortunately both the A and B teams lost, but it was an excellent effort on everyone's behalf. Lisa displayed some fantastic leadership skills and acted a great role model for her team. Gloria was also an excellent leader for her team, she modelled such a positive attitude towards everyone. Well done

Even though it has been a short week, we have managed to fit so much in. Yesterday, was a fantastic day. All of the 5/6's travelled to the city by train. Our first stop was the Museum, we had a great look at the Melbourne Story exhibition and then the Human Body exhibition. After lunch we headed to the Shrine. The medal wall in the main entrance was amazing. It was such a good day.

Well what a fantastic start we have had to Term 2. We have been working super hard to learn all about Gallipoli and the Anzac's. Yesterday we all went to Box Hill Gardens for a wreath laying ceremony we had our own wreaths and they looked fantastic. Next week we are going to the Shrine and museum in the city. we are catching the train from Laburnum Station, it should be a great day.

We have had a special visitor in our class this term, Miss Stacey Harris and teaching student from Deakin University. It is really exciting having her in our class, and can you believe that she was a student at Kerrmuir too. Today was her last day with us, but she will be back in Term 3.

Next week we are beginning a new topic. BRAIN BASICS, BODY SYSTEMS, we will be learning all about the brain and body systems this term. We will be doing lots of science experiments, it should be heaps of fun.
